To enter Vietnam, your passport must be valid for at least six months from your date of arrival and contain at least two blank pages.
If you require a visa, your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the visa's expiry date.
Citizens of many countries and territories—including Brunei, Cambodia, Chile, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Norway, Panama, the Philippines, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, and the United Kingdom—can enter Vietnam visa-free for tourism purposes. The length of stay permitted varies depending on nationality.
For Polish, Swiss, and Czech nationals travelling on organised tours with licensed Vietnamese tour operators between 1 March and 31 December 2025, special visa-free entry arrangements apply.

Tourist visas are valid for 30 days or 90 days from the proposed date of entry, depending on the type of visa granted.
